Omnifit's Gripper
fitting offers a flangeless tube connection system.
The Gripper comprises a PTFE facing washer press-fitted into a 316 stainless steel housing which is fitted onto hardwall tubing by means of tiny barbs which grip into the wall of the tubing.
A threaded male fitting is placed behind the Gripper in order to connect the tubing into the desired port.
Gripper fittings provide a leak-free connection with minimum disturbances to the fluid path and allow repeat connect/disconnect operation.
They do not compress the tubing if over-tightened and do not twist the tubing during connection.
Pressure reated to 1000 psi (69 bar).

PEEK & trade Gripper fittings
Fittings machined from PEEK give excellent chemical compatibility and long life.
Omnifit recommend the use of these fittings in applications where frequent connection/disconnection is required.
PEEK&trade fittings are available in 1/4''-28 UNF and M6 thread types, and in shorter length versions suitable for solenoid valves. Compact head fittings are also available and are ideal for applications where space is limited.
Polypropylene Gripper fittings
1/4''-28 UNF fittings are also available in moulded polypropylene. These offer a cost-effective option and are available
in a range of colours to enable quick and easy colour coding of multiple fluid lines. Polypropylene fittings come complete with slotted head and locking nut to prevent backing-off in vibrating applications.
Making a Gripper fitting
To make a Gripper fitting, a Gripper is secured onto the tubing,
with a fitting of the desired thread type placed behind it. Once in place, the fitting is simply screwed into a female flat-bottom port of the appropriate thread type to make
a secure seal.

Inverted cone fittings Quick and easy tubing connections
A Tefzel® cone is matched to the outside diameter of the tubing to be used.
The cone, once fitted into a female flat-bottom port, is compressed into the cone shaped end of the fitting forming an inert seal.
This method has a good sealing pressure and requires no tools, providing a quick and easy method of tubing connection. |

Omnigrip is an inert, one-piece fitting which only requires a twist of the finger to seal instantly on any flat-bottom connection.
Easy to use and pressure rated to 1000 psi, Omnigrip fittings have a 1/4"-28 UNF male thread to fit any 1/4"-28 UNF flat bottom female port.
Omnigrip can be used with any 1/16" or 1/8" OD hardwall tube, such as PEEK&trade, Tefzel® or PTFE. |

Flanged Fittings for flanged tube - Connection using flanged tube

Flanging is a long established method of making tubing connections. By flanging the end of hardwall tubing, an edge can be produced which when screwed into place in a flat-bottom port, the fitting compresses to produce a seal.
Flanging tool
The Omnifit flanging tool
creates a perfect flange without practice. The flange is mechanically formed without heat-stressing the tube. The flanging tool is safe to use, being non-electrical and not heated.
The kit includes flanging tool, tips for 0.5, 0.8 and 1.6mm ID tubing and also a tubing cutter.
Flanging washers and fittings
Fittings for flanged connections are available in large and compact head versions and with suitable sized flanging washers, all made from PEEK&trade. Both
1/4"-28 UNF and M6 threaded fittings are available.
Tubing cutter
A handy cutter is available to ensure clean cuts by holding the tube perpendicular to the blade and supporting it whilst cutting. Replacement blades are also available. |

Small variable bore fittings
Up to 3 Viton® O-rings are compressed into the body which holds the tube tightly and forms the seal. The O-rings allow maximum flexibility as they seal on rigid wall tubing of any diameter between 0.5 and 4mm.

Viton® cylindrical seals are supplied with all Omnifit 'cap-type' large bore connectors. The seals allow maximum flexibility
