Hydrophobic Interaction Columns |
HYDROCELL HPLC Column Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC) separates proteins by mechanisms similar to Reversed-Phase Chromatography but under gentle reverse salt gradient elution conditions in aqueous buffers. Since no organic solvent is used, biological activity has a much higher probability of being retained. HYDROCELL C3 1500, C4 1500 and phenyl 1500
are prepared from 10 µm particles of hydrophilic PS-DVB beads with pore diameter of 500 Ã…. Similiarly, C3 3000, C4 3000 and Phenyl 3000 are produced from 10 µm particles of hydrophilic, macroporous PS-DVB beads with average pore diameter of 1500Ã…. The advantages are:
HYDROCELL HIC Columns are available in both stainless steel and PEEK. The dynamic protein loading capacity determined by Frontal Uptake procedures are about 10 mg, 13 mg and 15 mg of lysozyme per mL of column volume on C3 1500, C4 1500 and Phenyl 1500 respectively. The practical loading capacity is about 0.2 - 0.3 mg of protein on a 50 x 4.6mm column. Detailed chromatograms are available see DJVu Catalog |
