Detector Lamps & Pump Spares

OEM" Replacement Parts

HPLC Instrument Spares

Replacement of the most
common HPLC pump and
detector components that require
routine replacement is simple.
All original pump manufacturers
would expect the HPLC user
to do this themselves.
So ! Why pay their prices?

Most OEM (original equipment
manufacturers) companies make vast profits out of spares, because they have large overheads to be met from providing such a small scale spares and service back-up facility.

Chromalytic Technology have spent years gathering together the most comprehensive source of  HPLC equipment consumables, and have  identitied component manufacturers who supply the OEM companies.

We can now pass this onto the HPLC user.
Some of the prices are up to 80% lower than from the OEM companies!

"How easy is it to replace these
components ourselves?"

The simple answer is VERY.simple !

The replacement of HPLC pump head components and detector lamps is no more complicated than the replacement of an HPLC column

Piston seals
- most are made from Graphite filled PTFE jackets (black colour) and are fitted with a stainless steel spring that acts as the seal energiser.
However, recent introductions have increased seal life considerably in specific solvent conditions.
These jackets are made either of UPC (Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) which appears as a clear (white) colour, or a special proprietory material that is gold (yellow)coloured.
Pistons (or plungers) are usually manufactured from Sapphire, but some Ruby pistons are available, which increases usage by 10%.
