Text Search-Verity/Cold Fusion now includes OCR of
PDF pages as well as htm
However this does not currently index *.djvu or xif pages. Most *.htm pages act as index to relevant *.pdf, xif and djvu pages
DJVu pages are NOW Searchable using the I-Filter Search.
This works across the whole website.

IF you find overlapping text segments on a Website page . . .
In IE6+ :  got to [View} [Text Size] [Smallest] ("Font Size")
it's a " quirk" of our design software and HTM generally.
USE "small" TEXT ANYWAY - the site looks better
on most monitors

This Website is now consolidated into an ~ 950  HTM page site and comprises approx 12 Supplier Sections
and  HTM-Index preview pages.
Detailed pages are in DJVu or PDF . . .
These are but a fraction of the info on the site as the details are in either
PDF, XIF or the NEW DJVu  format

As of 2007 PDF is used much more extensively - > 10 pages of PDF is getting impractical : USE DJVu files

We have also incorporated a number of Navigation Tools to assist your browsing
There is much duplication across these formats but historically the "art" is still evolving and we have retained info

  • Scalable in size w/o loss of resolution by up to 400%
  • OCR'd with built-in text search - Can now be Searched across this whole Website with I-Filter
  • Thumbnails for navigation
    CLICK ON Right Mouse Button whilst in DJVu to display options
    We have changed over to this format for future web page information
     - html is used for an index and for search purposes

    The Restek 2005/6 Catalog (768p) as well as the Valco 280p 2000 catalog and 100s of pages of info ! are on-line in DJVu format on our site - Check IT Out !

Site/ Page Format
HTM pages are used to overview products AND to serve as an Index to more detailed info in DJVu, Adobe Acrobat PDF and Xerox Pagis XIF format
DJVu is a new Web format far better than gif, jpeg for compression and quality for viewing "web pages" in true page format as per the original color printed page - it IS scalable for near perfect quality.

Our Web-site has evolved over 10 years So it's a mix of the 3 formats, first HTM then HTM + PDF then +XIF . . . NOW mostly +DJVu - we apologise for change . . .  but that's progress for you !
The information content is what it's ALL about anyway ! From NOW ON all pages will be in DJVu format - DJVu IS the Ultimate  !  Note as of 2002 XIF is now obsolete

  • NOTE - the site is about 10 levels deep AND there are about 650 .HTM pages (as .cfm) AND about 2500 linked DJVu, PDF and XIF detailed pages

    You will need the FREE Browser Plug-in Viewers to display these files
    They are ALL one-off install plug-ins for your browser ( approx 600-1.5meg to download )
